The weather was chilly, but the community spirit was warm and inviting as The Cadets of Waukesha West marched in Sunday’s annual Holiday Parade in downtown Waukesha. It was a great way to end a fantastic season of performing for our family, friends and community members. Thanks to everyone who supported us through volunteering, attending our shows, supporting our fundraisers and cheering us on. We wish you all a wonderful holiday season!
Congratulations to the Cadets of Waukesha West for their first place finish in the AAAA category at this year’s WSMA State Marching Band Competition! The Cadets tied the Oak Creek Marching Knights with a score of 82.75 and the Cadets’ Color Guard was awarded the highest score out of all bands competing at UW-Whitewater on October 15th. While it was certainly exciting to be recognized with top honors, the months of rehearsals and hard work that culminated in an excellent performance highlighting the talents of all our members was the most rewarding outcome of all. Thanks to our students, directors, staff and parent volunteers who helped make this season so successful. We’re already looking forward to another excellent summer and fall in 2017!
